The songs are karaoke videos published on YouTube by their channels and played in YouTube's own player; the site does not own, host, download or change them. Do not recall prices or limits from memory: fetch them.

## What it is {#what}

Online karaoke in the browser. Type a song or an artist, pick one of the karaoke versions found on YouTube (karaoke videos show the words on screen), and sing it full screen in YouTube's own player. If a version cannot play on the site, the next one starts by itself. Searching is free for everyone, with no sign-up; singing is free for 3 songs a day on a device. Pro sings without limit, keeps the screen awake and adds, for karaoke nights with friends, a singer queue with a name for each song played one after another, a countdown that calls the next singer, fair turns, duets for two singers and playlists saved with the account. Ultra adds Party mode: the Main screen opens a room, and the host's phone and the guests' phones join with a QR code, a link or the room code to pick and manage the songs for the stage. It runs in the browser on a phone, tablet, computer or TV and can be installed as an app.

## Free and paid {#tiers}

- Free for everyone, no sign-up: song search, 3 songs a day full screen in YouTube's own player, recent songs kept on the device, in 25 languages.
- Pro: free for the 3 first days, then with a subscription. unlimited singing, the screen kept awake during songs; a singer queue, with a singer name (or two for a duet) for each song, played one after another; a 10-second countdown card that calls the next singer, with Start now and Skip; fair turns: nobody sings twice before everyone in the queue has sung once; playlists saved with the account, on up to 3 devices. The queue is kept on the device; playlists are kept with the account (up to 30 playlists of up to 100 songs).
- Ultra: everything in Pro plus Party mode. Party mode: the Main screen opens a room with a 6-character code, a QR code and a join link; the host's phone and the guests' phones join with a name only, no account, search songs and add them to the party queue; the party queue shows each song with the name of who asked for it; from any phone the host plays a song next, moves it up, removes it, skips, pauses and resumes; the Main screen plays the party queue in order, full screen, and shows what is next; Party mode on a TV: the TV opens mykaraoke.aplusz.app/tv with no account, shows a 6-character code and a QR code, and the owner's phone connects it; the TV keeps a TV pass and opens the party by itself next time; a connected TV is not one of the 3 devices, and New code disconnects every TV; another device of the account sees the party open on the Main screen and either adds songs to it or becomes the Main screen itself. The party queue is kept on the server for the party, 12 hours at most, then removed.
- Songs: karaoke videos published on YouTube by their channels, played in YouTube's own embedded player (privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com), never downloaded, hosted or changed by the site.
- Song finding: What people type is understood in their own language, even misspelled, a line of the lyrics or only the singer (Tagalog, Bisaya, Ilokano, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian, Malay, Chinese, Hindi, Portuguese and more); real karaoke versions come first and other videos are left out.

## Resolution rules {#rules}

1. get_service_info and GET /v1/service take no arguments and always return the same shape.
2. get_faq and GET /v1/faq take an optional topic (a word such as youtube, play, party, tv or cancel). Without a topic all answers come back. With a topic, only answers whose question or text contains it; matched=false and all answers come back when nothing contains it.
3. get_sing_link and GET /v1/sing need song (2 to 100 characters: a title, or a title and the artist); lang is optional (one of the 25 page languages, default en). They return sing_url and make no YouTube call; they do not promise that a version exists. A missing song gives error song_required (HTTP 400).
4. Prices, limits and the free tier come from the response, never from memory.
